If anyone could possibly completely embody a song called "Sexy and I Know It"--emphasis on "body"--and make it come to life on ice via on-the-spot improvisation, it would only be Johnny.

He was absolutely beyond amazing. If the explosion of "OMG!!!!" tweets immediately afterward was any indication. (Seriously, click the link and scroll through the pages and pages of them. It's an awesome experience. :D)

Oh, and then he did a little Styx number later in the show, after this big buildup in the behind-the-scenes interview about how he really had never heard Styx' music and didn't know how this would go yada yada yada....

And of course he killed it. His spins alone were incredible. But he also made "Grand Illusion" even better as a song by once again moving with and expressing the music in that way he has that no other skater can match.

But my favorite part of his Grand Illusion performance actually came after he was finished and was taking his bows:

Yeah. OMG. OMFG. I'm guessing the Styx guy had never seen anything like that on ice--or anywhere else...

So anyway, Johnny tweeted a couple of times during the show:

Yes, of course it is.

So as soon as the voting page was opened and also stopped crashing, we did go vote for him. In droves.

Just 30 minutes into the voting, his friend Misha observed:

6:34 p.m.

As of this writing, he's still holding on to a healthy lead, remaining consistently at nearly 40% of the vote for hours (BTW these numbers will be ridiculously outdated by the time you get to the end of this sentence):

However, voting continues until January 31, so please KEEP VOTING DAILY for him!! You can vote once per day per IP address. (Which means families with multiple computers on one router are limited to one household vote unless you feel like resetting your router four or five times a day. However, we quickly figured out that we could all vote from our phones... and from Starbucks... and from McDonalds... and the Tollway Oasis.... )
