Yes, ’tis the season indeed. For those of us who couldn’t get enough of this costume from Johnny’s Bryant Park tree-lighting performance — or weren’t aware until that moment just how sheer it actually is, which apparently includes Johnny himself — behold, we have a whole new series of picspam to help clarify things. So to speak.
I’ve actually run two previous galleries of him in this costume from Halloween on Ice, but something about the lighting in Bryant Park suddenly revealed (just writes itself, doesn’t it?) a whole new perspective. Interestingly enough, something about the lighting or our positioning or both at the very last HOI tour stop in Grand Rapids, MI, also called attention to the barely-there-ness of this ensemble that I, too, hadn’t really noticed previously in either Syracuse or Peoria. But it’s certainly evident in a number of these photos. Which should do a lot to spice up your Tuesday. You’re welcome.
This series is from Johnny’s final performance of Bloody Mary / Hell at the last Halloween on Ice tour stop in Grand Rapids, MI. He first glides onto the ice draped mysteriously in black lace, but, as we know, quickly segues into the sheer delight that is the red lace bodysuit.
Nearly every photo in this series is huuuuge, so please click each one to enjoy in fabulous hi-res detail. All-new HD video of his final performance awaits you at the end of the picspam!
Johnny’s performance begins with this pairs moment alongside Brent Bommentre as a mightily confused mummy...
...but then he is unveiled in all his red-lace glory. Depending on the lighting, the transparency of the fabric is more noticeable in some shots than others. Particularly after one realizes he’s basically just wearing a black thong underneath.
Ending pose.
Acknowledging the roars and applause of the highly enthusiastic crowd.

Johnny’s final performance of ‘Bloody Mary’ and ‘Hell.’ And possibly the most brilliant yet.
