So my actual sixth blogoversary (yes! I’ve been doing this for six years!) is February 28, which was Sunday, which is a day no one reads the blog because they’re too busy trying to understand how the words “Johnny” and “airboat” can possibly be used together in a sentence.
So I was very surprised and touched to receive congratulations from various random people, including these special remembrances from Johnny’s Russian fans:

And so today the blogoversary festivities continue in the best possible way: with a new set of exclusive picspam from the Halloween on Ice vault (which is really quite full of amazing goodies and any minute now I’m going to get more of them shoveled out here...) plus new exclusive HOI video. This series comes from Johnny’s preshow warmup at the tour stop in Syracuse, NY, and I really love the way Davey edited these.

One of the great privileges of my life is to be allowed to watch Johnny at rehearsals and warmups. As brilliant as he is in performance, his prep time on the ice has a magic all its own, as glimpsed in his Instagram clips. Here’s some of the footage we got from the Syracuse warmup. I love this.
