Yes!! Johnny's cooking things up
on Food Network again!
on Food Network again!
Screencap from the preview video below!
Oh hai.
Yes, I'm still editing that manuscript. Only 361 billion more pages to go...
But I glanced up from my screen long enough to notice that today is February 28, which, besides being the last day of the longest shortest month ever, is also the third blogoversary! Which is traditionally the "leather" anniversary, so here:
Johnny at the annual
April 2011.
Celebratory Statistical Nerd Note:
03-02-2010:
Johnny has
41,172 Twitter followers and
28,496 Facebook fans.
02-28-2013:
Johnny has
116,778 Twitter followers and
116,778 Twitter followers and
71,803 "likes" on Facebook.
As always, these numbers will be outdated
by the time you get to the end of this sentence.
Besides random Johnny-in-leather photos, one of the best ways to celebrate a milestone (or anything, really) is with more Johnny on my TV! And we're in luck, because TONIGHT he'll be LIVE on Kathy Griffin's show on Bravo, along with Margaret Cho and Carmen Electra. Kathy has tweeted several times to let viewers know that the show has been moved to late night, which means 11:30 pm EST / 10:30 pm CST:
However, as of yesterday, neither Bravo's website nor local listings had caught up with Twitter, so the cable guides still have the show scheduled for 10 pm EST / 9 pm CST. IDK which is correct, so I'm setting my DVR to record ALL THE THINGS and hopefully Johnny will be on one of them.
In the preview video below, Kathy notes that there is some backstory between Johnny and Carmen:
(SPOILER: Victor tweeted that he's
the backstory, and explains here. :D)
Many fans may remember when Johnny appeared on Kathy's previous Bravo show, My Life on the D-List, in 2006, during which he gave her a skating lesson. They're absolutely adorable, and I can't wait to see them together again tonight. ♥
But Wait There's More: As mentioned above, Food Network announced earlier this week that Johnny is one of sixteen competitors on the new season of Chopped All-Stars, premiering April 7. Johnny will appear in the fourth episode on Sunday, April 28, 9 pm EST / 8pm CST, along with Joey Fatone, Laila Ali, and Judy Gold. The winner of each episode will compete in the finale on Sunday, May 5, where they will be battling it out once again for a prize of $50,000 toward the winner's charity.
You can read more about the show here, where this sneak peek video also was posted:
Video link. Johnny only appears at about 00:06,
so I kind of lost interest after that....
But so excited to see his episode!
(Assuming I'm done with
this manuscript by then...)

Happy Blogoversary, Binky!
If you hadn't started your blog, I might not have been inspired to start blogging at The Quotable Johnny Weir.
Hmmm. Seems like there's a chain of inspiration with Johnny as the origin. I'm only two degrees away in The Six Degrees of (Inspired by) Johnny Weir.
Johnny Weir is a grand original. It's hard to wrap one's head around him and put him into any kind of mental box. He's an artistic Houdini.
Classical and avant garde at the same time. Singular minded yet multi-talented with a mind that turns on a dime. A very traditional housewife and very gay rights at the same time. He is both the butterfly and the storm on the other side of the world.
