a new documentary about LGBT athletes, 
portions of which were filmed in secret during his time 
in Sochi as an NBC figure skating commentator. 
He also is an executive producer for the film, 
a project of Robert Redford’s Sundance Productions.

So I have propped myself up on my fainting couch, where I’ve been convalescing for days, stricken by some kind of viral scourge that has left me coughing like an escapee from an Edwardian TB sanatorium, just long enough to wanly fling some picspam out here before collapsing again under another paroxysm of hacking, because these are just too wonderful to wait until I am more fully recovered.

at Harvard University’s Bright Hockey Center 
in Boston, MA, September 19 and 20! 
This annual charity show is a fundraiser for 
the Jimmy Fund of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Kayso yesterday was a day in which I drove across the entire width of this state and back to retrieve some things from the attic of a place where I stored a bunch of stuff and which is now completely infested with bats. Because my life is really horrifyingly nightmarish interesting like that, and this is the sort of thing you do when you’re me. Other people might spend the day at, say, a normal job, or perhaps enjoying a random late-summer day off, or helping their children get geared up for back-to-school, or buying tickets to attend every upcoming Johnny event (see above!), or simply posing in a window and looking amazing against a cityscape backdrop:

Johnny stars in To Russia With Love
a documentary from Robert Redford’s Sundance Productions 
that examines the lives of LGBT athletes. A portion of the documentary 
was filmed secretly at the Sochi Olympics, amidst Russia’s strict anti-gay 
propaganda laws, while Johnny was being hailed as the breakout star 
of the Games for his work as a figure skating commentator for NBC. 
The film, for which Johnny also is an executive producer
will premiere Wednesday, October 22, 8 pm ET on EPIX.
