All That Glitters ... Is Most Likely Johnny

For close-up photos of the products

Kayso Johnny's in Orlando today and tomorrow for the unveiling of "Glitter and Ice," his holiday collaboration with MAC Cosmetics. If you're anywhere near Orlando, he'll be on WESH-2 / WKCF-CW18's live broadcast this morning at about 8:15 a.m. EDT, and you can go see him tomorrow at Millenia Mall!

And I just noticed yesterday that the blurb on the mall page says, "Performance and autograph session." (!!!!!)

OMG.

I also noticed via Twitter that Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov are in Orlando. I can only imagine the fabulosity that may be about to ensue...

Meanwhile, I'm up to my elbows in laundry and oil changes as we prepare for our road trip. New York, here we come! I hope! Although there's really an awful lot of laundry sitting here....! And I'm supposed to be leaving in just over 24 hours....! But I keep getting distracted by stuff like endless reviews of Glitter and Ice! And also random stuff like this, which is kinda why I'm trying to get to New York in the first place... :

All righty then! Back to seriously gravity-defying piles of laundry, and suitcases and camera batteries and lists of lots of things I'm sure to forget because I won't be able to find the lists since I'll have tossed them absently in the bottom of the suitcase while doing just one more Google search for Glitter and Ice....

So please wish me luck! Next stop: NYC--for a Gala that promises to be most glittery indeed... :)

God, I love all things practice pics...especially if they are black and white and have Johnny in it.

Here´s to a weekend full of "Glitter and Ice" and on to a surely exciting and wonderful gala on Monday. There lie some great days ahead.

"All that glitters is most likely Johnny..." - RIGHT??!! This is the time where I get all sad and pouty cuz I want to be where you are going SO. BADLY. Erm..well I want to be there cuz JOHNNY but of course I also would love to meet you there but mostly because JOHNNY. You know what I mean. So I am alternately flailing with antici....pation of lovely picspams to come but also flopping mournfully from wanting to be part of it. Anyway, HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!!!!

Covering Johnny takes a lot of packing and traveling, but as Samuel Johnson once said, "Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome." So go for it, Binky and Mimes, and thank you from your grateful fans.

Some blogger commented on Johnson, "...prolific beyond all normal human limitations, he both appeared and behaved like more like a level 5 hurricane, than like just another ‘literary fellow.’" Sounds familiar?

The world is definitely getting hotter ( http://motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2011/10/climate-skepticism-takes-another-hit ). Kayso we will need Johnny's ice and glitter to help keep us cool. One lone hero battling against the forces of imbalance, dust and entropy.

3 days until I get to see Binky and her Spawn! ♥ Oh, and Johnny too! and Tara! Eric! Kittens!! Thrilled that ITNY is honoring Johnny. A tribute richly deserved.

I don't even wear makeup and I think I'm going to splurge and treat myself & Rachel to some Glitter & Ice.

M*A*C has such a handsome spokesperson this season :D

I'm not sure if you saw this really interesting interview with Johnny and I'm bad at sending links so I hope this gets you through.
