Is It Monday Yet...?

Well, until it is, we can just stare at this.
Photo tweeted by Victor: "#cuter than Boo."
Absolutely. As is Тёма.
(Dear Victor, we ♥ you
and your twitpics forever.
#WeAreTheVoid)

So I don't know if you've noticed, but there's been a tad bit of... tension... mounting in the air as we all mill about, shifting from foot to foot and checking our phones every 10 seconds or so just in case as we prepare for the next big scene in our exciting reality series, The Real Figure Skaters of New Jersey: Waiting for Godot.

Seriously, the only thing keeping us from whipping around and devouring each other alive from the sheer agonizing torture of anticipating. the. Grand. Prix. invitations. which.

are.

supposed.

to.

be.

announced.

on.

Monday.

O.

M.

G.

is the steady drip-drip-drip of daily twitpics from Johnny and Victor, hitting our foreheads with unbearable cuteness and then bouncing off way too quickly as we desperately claw at each one and try to lose ourselves in them for just a moment whilst we. glance. at. the.

calendar.

and.

note.

that.

it.

is.

only Friday.

Sweet Weirsus. If we're like this now, how are we ever going to survive the season?

So thank goodness Johnny took our minds off all that with his tweet last night:

AAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH.

(Although yes, I do realize that if we're this edgy, I can't even imagine what it must be like for him.)

So rumor has it that IF the ISU actually DOES announce the Grand Prix stuff on Monday (because last year they delayed it like THREE TIMES OMG), it might be sort of middle-of-the-night-ish since the announcement generally originates in Switzerland, apparently. Although then this other obscure little rumor popped up that there's some kind of meeting going on in Chicago this weekend about the GP so maybe the announcement will come from there, which is in my actualfax time zone. IDK.

But anyway, a number of fans have been discussing this all week in between absently chewing off our own arms and snarling like Cujo at anyone clueless enough to interrupt our obsessing over WHAT is on his FINGERS in that PHOTO are those BANDAIDS is he HURT I wonder what HAPPENED, and so we've got a game plan of sorts in preparation for our Twitter vigil scheduled to begin at some point Sunday evening: Yes! Fingers crossed! Candles lit! Incense burning! Emergency supplies at the ready! Those being: vodka to take the edge off; caffeine to keep us awake and counteract the vodka-induced sleepiness; Xanax to counteract the nervous energy produced by the caffeine; chocolate to counteract the lethargy produced by the Xanax and also because we shouldn't be drinking all that vodka and caffeine on an empty stomach; and paper bags into which we can hyperventilate and/or vomit the hideous vodka-caffeine-Xanax-chocolate mixture we've just ingested.

So we're all set! And to add to our preparations, here's a helpful graphic to get us in full-on ISU mode:

+3 GOE to Katie Luckett for this.

(oh.

look.

it's.

still.

Friday.)

All righty then. Whilst we wait for Monday, which should be arriving in just a scant four billion hours from now if we apply the ISU's Changorithm to our chanculations, by which we ridiculously multiply everything to the Chanth degree, let us distract ourselves with the gloriousness that is today's Random Fan Art Friday, a celebration of amazing talent and whimsy from some totally amazing fans.

Need a countdown clock to post in the corner of the screen...pacing.

Will meanwhile pace on @ayukovon's great and clever staircase (Escher inspired?). Or chase the golden ISU snitch. And admire Johnny and Victor practicing the waltz for their future wedding (taking turns leading?).

Yes, enjoy your youth and don't break hearts and don't kick yourself. And then kill time by shopping for healthy and effective sunblocks http://breakingnews.ewg.org/2012sunscreen/?inlist=Y&utm_source=201205sunscreenemail&utm_medium=email&utm_content=image&utm_campaign=toxics

I prefer a block that is primarily titanium dioxide with some mexoryl mixed in. Sometimes have to mix two blocks together in my palm.

Pulling an all-nighter with you Binks, and fellow Johnny fans on Twitter Sunday into Monday will be the BEST PARTY EVAH!
It could be surpassed only by winning the lotto and being able to fly somewhere to see him compete....
*fingers crossed for Johnny* GANBATTE!
