And a Very Merry Weirmas to All!

For me, Weirmas came early this year--December 11, to be exact, in Flint, Michigan, of all places (that were not on my list of cities I'd really love to visit someday ...).

And there all of us in attendance received gift after gift: The first public performance of "Dirty Love"; beautiful skating by all the elite skaters who joined Johnny in the show; adorable young skaters giving their all and loving every minute of it; and afterward, the gift of Johnny's time, as he graciously met with fan after fan after fan, engaging each in real conversation and, with endless patience, autographing anything and everything that was set before him.

And so here is my gift to you--just Johnny, in one last set of meet-
n-greet photos taken by my son David, who quietly captured this unforgettable evening in beautiful detail.

I'm taking a little hiatus from the blog to enjoy some time with my family. I wish each of you peace and joy this holiday season.

And also love.

Because the greatest gift we can give one another is love. Love that offers unconditional acceptance--of those who are similar to us, and those who are different.

Straight, gay, black, white, man, woman, young, old, thin, fat, Christian, Muslim, atheist, and all labels in between--love embraces us all. Love knows no boundaries. Love has no end. And love has room for everyone.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Merry Weirmas
with love
from Binky

thanks for the holiday picture blog MM, and for the words about Love. I think in the end thats what Johnny is to me...love.

I am so glad I found this group of Lovers who support Johnny as much as I do. This group means alot to me even though we hardly know each other, we bond through our love of Johnny and the joy in watching him skate. As some of you know, I have been a fan since the beginning and there were so many years there was no one to discuss this with...at least not in this depth-LOL. Its amazing to hear others talk and feel the same way I do about Johnnys skating and who he is as a person. You guys get it, its so nice!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas if you celebrate and a really happy holiday!

much love!♥♥♥

Thank you Binky, for one of the greatest gifts; your blog, a beacon of light and likemindedness after the Olympics. As a direct result of finding you, I went from being a single Johnny Weir fan to part of a huge beautiful tapestry of fans from around the world, united in appreciation and support of a brilliant artist and athlete, who just happens to be a wonderful human being...

I am thankful to have met, in person and in cyberspace, all of Weirlandia; the smartest, most resourceful, most glam'd up group of lovers on Planet Earth....

Thank you David, for these wonderfully candid shots of Johnny's gorgeous face and thank you again Binky for making so much possible...

..........MERRY WEIRMAS TO ALL.......

Thank you for your wonderful Christmas gift and your many gifts throughout the year. You and Johnny are among the blessings I count this year.

Those are such beautiful, radiant photos capturing the patience and the kindliness of both the subject and the photographer.

Many are our blessings this holiday season... Of friends and loved ones whose close orbits and interactions tell us that we really are not lonely planets in life in an uncaring universe. Their complex reality confirms that it is wonderful and amazing to be human and shows how we can support one another and bring justice.

Of acquaintances and strangers who show us the range of human possibilities and explore all the many alternatives that we in our own very short time don't have the time, talent, inclination, or energy for. To skate like Johnny, to compose like Lady Gaga, to design like Lagerfeld, etc....to experience the world's myriad cultures with their own foods, languages, fashions, architectures, practices, etc.

At times we feel like lonely atoms adrift. But more often the world feels like a huge funnel bringing all of its booming buzzing possibilities to us.

Binks!

I don't think 2010 could have been more perfectly constructed to test my ability to love. Bad news: it hurt like hell. Good news: I passed all 172 levels with flying colors!!

It goes without saying that a certain young man was an invaluable resource. Every time my love powers would wane, I could take a sip off a performance, a photo, a press conference or a memory of face-to-face interaction. And suddenly, my powers were replenished and multiplied.

Most importantly, with Johnny came a whole cast of other people to love. And in the center were you and little miss you know who. UTB! I can't thank you enough for your friendship and for the inspiration you gave my life every day this year. You, J and J were a source of endless love and I hope you felt as much coming your way as you gave.

Thank you for being irreplaceable on this planet and for so generously sharing yourself with me. You're a lot like Johnny in this one way in particular: if I didn't get such a thrill out of watching your love powers change the world, I'd want to keep you all for myself. Luckily, there is a whole world that needs you and will be better, happier and filled with love because of you.

I hope your holiday is pure magic. I'll see you in Moscow!!

Love love,
Neeks

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone for any and every loving belief they celebrate this time of year.

And I especially send my love and gratitude to you, Lynn, for sharing a special and loving "path" to enjoying Johnny and his adventures and for bringing together a fabulous group of people who share your passion for all he is and all he stands for ... Creativity, Love Love Love and Individuality.

Mine will always be a challenging path, but nothing brings me more peace and joy than my Kathy, my family, and my friends, including the too many to name fans/kittens/angels/etc. that follow Johnny on FB and especially here & Twitter. You treat each other like family and because of that, on a daily basis, I know I can go to any "spot," say hello and a handful of people will almost immediately voice love and gentle and even healing words.

What an amazing gift he is and all you are because of him. I am humbled by your boundless energy (and wish I could absorb some to be able to give back to you, him and all.)

And, yes, the GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE... LOVE... LOVE. To you all.

Big hugs and LOVE LOVE LOVE to you (ALL of you) for a wonderful holiday weekend. And I SO look forward to 2011 and Johnny's new book, the release of Dirty Love, a new season of BGJW and maybe, just maybe, there'll be a little more personal love and smiles to warm his heart (and ours FOR him).

Love and Blessings to you all!

Thank you MM for this wonderful Blog, and thank you David for being such a wonderful photographer!

And I would like to echo what everyone above is saying...it's all about the love, and it was so wonderful to meet everyone. I haven't felt this community feeling in years, not since I became involved with Boitano fandom sixteen years ago. At that time I had already been a fan of Brian's for several years, but I hadn't found all the others. Now it's the same with Johnny, I've been a fan for years, but it's really only been since Vancouver I've found this community of Johnny love. I always manage to find the right people somehow, lol!

So MM, you DAvid, Alice and Bob have a wonderful holiday season. Everyone else have a wonderful holiday season, and still plenty of JOhnny love coming up!
