Special thanks to @TedFlett on Twitter
for today's perfect headline. :D
So here was Johnny's day yesterday:
6:52 a.m.
(Note: He tweeted over the weekend about
his short program music, edited by Hugo Chouinard.

OMQ!!! And how excited are we?!
This excited!!
And that number will be woefully outdated
by the time you read this...
All of which resulted in a geyser of Twitter love--more than 100 tweets in response to him within another five minutes, and it's still going on hours later as of this writing. ♥
Here are a few of my favorites:
But I especially loved this one:
And this response:
Here's what Johnny quadding looks like,
in case you haven't seen this before. :)
And here's a reminder
of how excruciatingly difficult it is,
from Be Good Johnny Weir, Season 1, episode 2.
He's been kind of a hot topic on Twitter lately. Also yesterday, @NBCOlympics tweeted:
What Olympian, past or present, would you LOVE to see make a return in Sochi in 2014?
To which more than 50 percent of respondees answered: "Johnny Weir!" (Or, "The one and only Johnny Weir!" or "Johnny Weir, of course!" Etc.)
I also love this Twitter convo from last week that ensued after @SamuraiCicero tweeted a photo of Johnny from the Chris Benz presentation and @chickgonebad sighed: "It's my fabulous ice skating imaginary boyfriend!!!"

Look at these awesome young people!! They are the organizers of Skate for the Goal, and here they're manning the SFTG ticket table at Sky Rink, Chelsea Piers last weekend. Check out all the Johnny love they've posted everywhere! Their event is this Saturday, February 25, at Sky Rink, and for just $10 you can see Johnny at the SFTG meet-n-greet (plus Viktor Petrenko! And others!), and enjoy some amazing skating--all to raise money for for two charities, Special Olympics-New York and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Don't miss out!! More info here, or email SFTG at skateforthegoal@gmail.com. And if you can't make it, please consider sending a $10 donation to these great kids to help in their fundraising effort.
Yes, Of Course We Have Brief Picspam.
What, Are You in the Business of Asking Silly Questions Like NBC Now?
So seeing Johnny prostrate on the floor reminded me: Hey, I have a few new pics of him in that same coat! (yes, I realize he's like in a coma there, but OMG THAT COAT. It's SO AWESOME.), courtesy of amazing photographer and dear friend Tatiana Edrenkina, who, when I muttered on Twitter the other day that I was bored, sent me like 248 pictures from when he was in Russia for City Lights in December 2011. So here are a few, taken when he and Tara came out of the arena after the show and were greeted by fans. Gaze; admire; sigh; quad; lather; rinse; repeat.
(Tara may possibly be sleepwalking here.
Which also could be why she's smiling.)
OK, just one more. And yes he is.
Bonus video!! Johnny had a cameo
on It's A Brad, Brad World last night.
And I love Brad, but no:
Johnny wore this look best.
Skater legs. That is all.
Thanks to Wendy Stevenz!!

Thank you so much for the posts!! The Twitter love and excitement for Johnny's quad is so exciting and lovely♥
I can't get on line often and regularly so I'm very thankful that you always capture, collect, share, and write so many fabulous things about Johnny.
I'm soooooo happy to be a Johnny fan! So much joy and love and glitter♥ Thank you!
Sigh. The emphasis on quads is going to result in lots of injuries across the male skating board. Gymnasts, divers, snowboarders, and skiers do tricks, but they get to land on a cushiony mat, pool of water, or relatively more cushiony snow.
It is ironic that ice skating is therefore becoming more macho and daring that the rest.
Football players only run into each other. Not into a wall of ice. Plus, football players are allowed to wear helmets and body armor. What wusses.
So excited for Johnny! It's going to be so great to see graceful, fluid skating getting attention on competitive ice again!
And now with that nasty quad in his arsenal...he'll be kicking ass all over those rinks. Beautifully, of course.
SQUEE!!!! The interview finally loaded for me!! Love loving that big delicious hair and all that family talk. I know, I know, quads and more medals first.... and wasn't there a 2nd line of dresses on the way?
