How is one to live ...
when one finds darkness
not only in one's culture,
but within oneself?
not only in one's culture,
but within oneself?
There are simply no answers
to some of the great pressing questions.
You continue to live them out,
making your life
a worthy expression
a worthy expression
of leaning into the light.

The quads were... Breathless. Wow. ;D
These pics...WOW...just WOW.
And these Quads (incl. triple and doubles)...I´ve been watching them since early morning..repeatedly. He continues to march on. Wonderful.
Thanks for this post to you and Davey...and to Johnny for being the inspiration.
Johnny was totally in the moment skating Meditation on Thais. Pure of heart and maybe meditating on commitment. Thank you for those amazing photos captured forever. Like those perfect snowflakes captured by Wilson Bentley.
Johnny's quad combos are simply stellar. With the quad, triple, double, he traced the constellation Johnny Weir on ice. Burning bright and hot, and giving Venus and Alpha Centuri (brightest planet and brightest star) serious competition in space. NASA should make him an honorary astronaut.
You are FANTASTIC! I love watching you skate....from your costumes to your jumps, you take my breath away!!! I'm so glad to see you are in blogland so now I can keep up on all your latest...Have a great day! Hugs Jennifer
I opened this up and said "WOW! This is my favorite photo of Johnny". and then I saw the second one and liked that one best, then the third, then the fourth, etc. etc. etc.
Each pic seemed to get better and better. I love them all! The subject matter isn't bad either.
Johnny makes it look so easy, yet you can see the strain of his muscles; the determination in his stance.
Praying for the day I can watch him Quad in the Olympics. ♥
