I love it when people I love
are showered with love by other people. :)
Johnny and Tara at the Russian fan meeting, January 3, 2011.
This is made of happy.
The photo was taken by the fabulous Arthur Lookyanov, Johnny's driver/guide in Moscow, who writes:
Johnny Weir meets Russian fans after ice shows "Alice in Wonderland" on evening Jan 3rd, 2010. I was impressed again how he express his feelings and thoughts about Russia whenever he receives kind of question about my country: "I love Russia" or "Moscow, Russia is my second home" always I hear these words from him in personal or during his official interviews on radio / TV or during conversations with his friends. And when he says these words in English or in Russian I always overcrowded with emotions being proud of my country in spite of that still we have here many problems on our way of establishing democracy and global market economy from 1991, after collapse of huge Soviet Empire. And trust me, within the past 20 years, we already made great changes and living now in completely different country (as to concern political and economic changes), but where still live millions of nice and hospitable people with mysterious Russian soul that likes Johnny Weir! Photo #388 taken on Jan 03, 2011 by Arthur Lookyanov (ArtLook).
Thank you, Art, for these beautiful words. (For more fab photos and commentary, please visit Art on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.)
And here are two more wonderful videos from the show, courtesy of the lovely Irina Volkova (MsLys26 on YouTube, who is seated to Johnny's right in Arthur's photo above!):
Love love everything about Johnny's interpretation of the Mad Hatter (and also the delighted giggles and squees of the spectators!).
The final performance is today at 4:30 pm in Moscow, which is 8:30 am EST, and then he's spending a day filming with Butch and Grams. And then hopefully he'll have a few days to rest up at home before the mega media blitz begins next week (have you seen his book-signing schedule? Wow--by which I mean, there isn't enough Starbucks in the world to cover that. Except maybe if you're Johnny.).
And while we're waiting for that "I'm home!" tweet, please be sure to catch Johnny tonight at 10 pm EST/9 pm CST on Bravo's The Fashion Show, where he'll be guest-judging alongside Rachel Zoe. On this episode, the designers' challenge is to create fashionable looks for gay couples who are preparing to marry. Enjoy this tiny sneak peek, with special thanks to Jenn Kittler!

ONE WEEK, ONE WEEK, ONE WEEK...very excited here for Welcome to my World and Dirtylove! Yay!

Binky!!!
I love the countdown clock to "Johnny Weir 11, 2011." It's brilliant. I swear his name can be morphed to suit any need. It's magic!
I also love watching him showered with love everywhere he goes. I like to think he lives in a world where he gets as good as he gives. Speaking of giving, I cannot believe his book is nearly here. Here in my wintry, icy, cabin-fevered town, Johnny Weir is poised to save January. What do we know about translated versions of the book for all of his beautiful international fans?
The blog is as magical this morning as ever.
Love love and more love,
Neeks
It has been a lot of fun to watch Johnny skating in a role as part of a story. Very different:-)
I wonder if that show would ever come over here?
Thanks, Binx for another fab blog:-)
I went ahead and pre ordered Johnny's book last week. I can't wait! Also can't wait to hear about possible book signing dates in my area! the countdown clock is a cool idea!
Once again MM, thanks for a great blog! I had one of the Mad Hatter videos, but not the other! Thanks Jen for the preview of the show! Thanks Arthur for taking such good care of Johnny!
