With unfailing good humor and graciousness,
Johnny autographed headshots, copies of Welcome to My World,
fan-provided photos, and pretty much anything
anyone set in front of him at the Chicago State Street
Macy's last Wednesday.
Yes! It's time for more Chicago picspam! Today we have selected shots from the meet-n-greet portion of Johnny's appearance last week at Macy's in downtown Chicago, during which he made many fans very, very happy by doling out free hugs (lol), autographing anything and everything, and posing for pictures to infinity. Here are just a few.

Oh BTW I have lucked into an enormous batch of exclusive picspam from Johnny's event at Macy's Herald Square in NYC last Thursday, so tomorrow isn't looking really good for accomplishing anything either. Just FYI.

meeting a lot of these lovely people ...)
Sometimes signing stuff is not so serious.
With yet more random happy fans, one of whom is my Twitter friend
before the event and said, "Hey, you look like someone
who knows what's going on ..." LOL. Well, kind of ...
At that point we were generally being told by random Macy's people--
who all seemed a bit surprised to be frequently accosted by strangers
all babbling intently about some guy named Johnny--
that it would not be necessary to form a line in order to get in
to see the fashion show or Johnny personally.
This idea went out the window when the Macy's people
suddenly realized about 10 minutes AFTER the thing was supposed
to start that they--yes, the Macy's people--would be serving cocktails
(oh hey guys wait a minute ...), and thus they needed everyone
to form a line after all to sign us in and hand out wristbands
so that the servers would not end up unintentionally plying
my 13-year-old with alcohol.

We met after the Chicago book signing back in January,
an event at which unfortunately the only photos anyone got
of Carmina were all of, like, a tiny bit of the back of her head.
We made up for it a little bit this time with this shot ...

so I have installed a handy clock in the upper right part
of the blog so I can figure out just how far behind
my life is running compared to his at any given moment.
(Not sure if the clock is capable of calculating years ...)
And while he's traveling and performing in Fantasy on Ice,
we will comfort ourselves by viewing leftover
Macy's NYC picspam and also being thrilled
for his Japanese fans, who have some very special stuff
planned for Johnny's 27th birthday this weekend! ♥

OMG! Thanks for sharing! B/c I'm from the far SouthEast Side of Chicago, I got to Macy's at 1PM b/c I didn't knoww kind of crowd to espect! Well, let me just say that being mistaken for a Macy's Employee at least 10x, directing guests to the restrooms, and of course some light shopping was so worth the wait to meet the Diva himself, Johnny Weir!
