So I had this brief lovely post planned to close out the week, because I asked Davey pleadingly the other day if there might be just one or two photos left over from Fashion on Ice or ITNY that would be worth running, and he shrugged and looked sort of vague, and then later wordlessly handed me a flash card with a couple of extra photos that he had had lying around somewhere in the dark recesses of his hard drive, like how you would have all your extra Van Goghs sort of shoved in the back of your closet underneath those moth-eaten blankets and old ratty sneakers that really aren't even acceptable for Goodwill at this point...
So I was all set to go with one of those but then this twitpic happened, and Johnny also tweeted several times that he'll be performing tonight at Kaleidoscope on Ice with musical powerhouse Miss Patti LaBelle to "Lady Marmalade"--once even using the hashtag #johnny marmalade--which I'm guessing means that she'll be singing it live while he skates, and so now we need to consider every aspect of that quite closely:

Sweet Weirsus. We're all still recovering from his Bad Romance performance at Fashion on Ice.
In the meantime, I asked Fireworks' Kylie Culnane, who has accompanied him on this trip, the question above, namely: BOAS. LOLWUT. And she said: "He had boas on during the first rehearsal. As far as I know, there was no real reason for them..." Which totally cracked me up.
Kylie also was kind enough to send along some exclusive photos from the day's rehearsals, though she was apologetic about the quality produced by her camera phone. But hey, we'll devour anything we can get, so thank you very, very much, Kylie, for this peek behind the scenes!

By the way, when world leaders kiss, as in the new Benetton ad and especially when heterosexually, it looks ewwww stomach turning/churning. Johnny kissing anyone looks sublime.
So happy to see Johnny smiling not just with his eyes but with his whole being. Take good care of each others' hearts, Johnny and Vitya...communicate to get the other side's view and always forever be kind.
