"The Legendary Night Prince"

at the start of the second half of Artistry on Ice in Taipei.

OK, I've completely given up on bringing any sort of order to the Weibopalooza currently happening on my computer, so today I'm just going to throw a bunch of stuff on here that is somewhat loosely related to the subject at hand in that each item contains either Johnny or something having to do with him, and each has been carefully selected as most representative of certain strict criteria best summed up by the phrase: OMG I LOVE THIS.

Hence the photo above from Mutsumi.

So he's currently in Shenzhen getting ready for tomorrow's show there, but we're going to continue to roll around in stuff from Beijing and Taipei until somebody tells us to knock it off or stops posting awesomeness from those shows. Which doesn't look like it's going to be anytime soon.

And to guide us through our random squeefest, I've chosen some of my favorite Google Translate moments from Weibo which, if you read enough of them, start to take on a kind of poetry all their own. Mostly because they're all about how much everybody loves Johnny. Even Google Translate can't screw that up.

As always, please click any photo twice for full-size view.

First up: More video!!
This is Johnny's Chopin piece from Taipei.
Love the ooohs and aaaahs from the crowd.

Another version of Fighter from Taipei.

In case you missed it yesterday:
The first video we found of Fighter from Beijing!

And another look at Fighter from Beijing.
Johnny's really tiny and the sound is really loud on this one--
but it's worth watching just to hear
the roars from the crowd,
especially when he takes his bows at the end.

And finally: A news report on the Beijing show.
Some good Johnny footage starting at about 00:55.

"World Ice GaGa Johnny Weir"
--how Google Translate says he's named
in the Artistry on Ice cast list
in multiple Weibo posts

The following are selected quotes from Johnny-related posts on Weibo as rendered by the admittedly unreliable Google Translate with help from the equally quixotic Bing Translator. Although, as the lovely Chinese Angel @avemaria_k told me last night as we were comparing notes on one particular comment, "The meaning of the original sentence is simple and neutral, but this amazing translation is much better! I love it! Sometimes Google Translate gives us surprises!" And sometimes they're pretty good ones...

Johnny Weir, finally comes, wait pick-up, all kinds of excited ah chicken froze. [Yep. We all know that feeling.]

Tomorrow, to see figure skating 2012 Ice Artistry Festival Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, Plushenko, Kurt Browning... Of course, the favorite, Johnny Weir. [Yes, of course.]

Lovely Johnny is not only friendly...He said that my pen: So cute! Also pointed at my clothes and said: So cute!

Johnny stood there, the perfect interpretation of the "red temptation."

A taste of skating beauty: known as the Ice Lady Gaga, Johnny Weir, dressed in black, lightly glide with the music, such as the legendary Night Prince.

Johnny Weir appear, the audience cheered, performed to the violin accompaniment, left people awestruck.

Johnny Weir, is a delight to gorgeous demon wild. [This is the sentence @avemaria_k liked. Alternate translation courtesy of Nancy Knisley: Performances are magnificent monster field. This also works.]

The most emotion, watching the ice ARTISTRY: Johnny Weir, you are married and so adorable!

Compared to last year, Johnny Weir, the biggest changes in ... thin face and arms so cut. Efforts to pay for the return to the game is evident.

Visual feast, experience, Johnny Weir ... I fall down.

Johnny Weir two songs solo skating is great!!! Violin, and a black, stunning costume, each movement is impeccable ... Power and beauty, free fly, very exciting evening! Also hold a panda and bouquet at exit. [Love random panda moments.]

Johnny Weir : The second half performance out of this cloak with his twist ~ ~ comparable to last year, twist and on the floor.

Thank you for your efforts last night, I see success, Johnny Weir, the performance was wonderful!

Johnny Weir, handsome!

Johnny Weir . . .  invincible. . . Is simply ! !

Figure skating looks beautiful. . . The one named Johnny Weir too handsome . . . A dance in love with him.

Johnny Weir, ! super invincible like he used to be as young, now is a mature temptation--handsome man!

The OMG!, Johnny Weir, is soooo the awesome!

Johnny Weir -- guy born to skate,  in addition, focus not only on "can complete 4 rotation in the air" on a purely technical problem, he made skating into a performance, each movement, each glance, are representative of his attitude and mood, he's a performer, not just athlete. After him, I don't know who else performed on the ice...

Beijing Beauty

wearing the traditional Chinese coat presented to him
as a gift from fans, made especially for him.
Note awesome banner once again.

The crown of roses on its way to the arena
to be presented to Johnny at the end of the Beijing show.
Weibo/Google Translate explains:
Fiery red feathers of the Rose + White = skating rink ...
for elegant, beautiful @JohnnyGWeir...

More flowers and the banner
await him at the arena.

This post (as are all of them) is so full of AWESOME that I think my chicken froze. Also, I think the correct translation of the last 3 words of this sentence: "Visual feast, experience, Johnny Weir ... I fall down."...is THUD.

xoxoxo
