Flash of Johnny.
This is an incredibly powerful movie trailer that moved me to tears before I was even halfway through it. Uploaded on Monday, it has already gone viral, according to HuffPo, having reached more than 700,000 views in just a few days. The film advertised is a documentary whose creator needs to raise $50,000 by March 9 in order to move forward with the movie.
You can donate as little as $1 to join in the fundraising effort.
As of about 2:30 p.m. EST yesterday, the filmmaker had hit $39,996 in donations. As of 6 a.m. today, that amount had surged to more than $77,000.
Johnny can be glimpsed at about 6:13, in a clip from a 2010 appearance on Larry King. After viewing the trailer, I can't think of a better use for a donated dollar (or several).
More info on the film's website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Hey, Johnny's been nominated for a Shorty Award!! You can join in on the nominating process by clicking here and tweeting your vote for Johnny. Most fans are voting for him in the "Athlete" category.
Note: The Shorty Awards have very specific rules, which essentially boil down to this:
(1) You can only nominate him ONCE from each Twitter account that you have. Additional votes from the same account will NOT be counted. So it's one of those deals where we need a LOT of different people to vote, rather than a few people voting a lot.
(2) Your nominating tweet MUST include a reason (for example: "I nominate @JohnnyGWeir for a Shorty Award in #athlete because he inspires his fans to believe in themselves"--thanks @PatinaGlace!).
(3) You must NOT copy someone else's reason in your vote.
All righty then.
The nominating period ends February 17--please vote vote vote!! For more info, click here.

Hahahaha...the pics with the captions. Priceless....and a good reminder what Johnny with support of a few people accomplished in the past year. You go, Sunshine.
I also watched that vid and judging from how quick the money needed to make that movie happen has been donated the only thing I can think of is that there must be many people who think that it is an important issue to talk and make a movie about.Good on them.
Thanks for another amazing blog. I really have enjoyed it.
Reading your blog posts has made my little family smile today. His dr says Nehemias Jr did great with his surgery on his eye and we are just waiting for him to wake up.

Thanks again for all these precious photos and gifs. The gifs that keep on giving.
Everyone, please keep vote, vote, voting. We need to maintain and sustain a margin for vote safety. And by this I'm not talking about the "Safety" pants.
To wax poetic, Madame Tussaud's should definitely reproduce these pants of Johnny's in wax. Either this or the swan costume.
how bout gifs that keep on giving and leaving me WAY too distracted!
ty sooo much for the gifs! and yay for Davey giving in and making a close up one, even though it didn't quite meet his standards.
ooooo! so excited for Johnny and Vitya! they're newlyweds and it's Valentine's Day, so lovely!
the vid is simply amazing and i'm gonna go post it to my wall right now.
ty for another Freaking Amazing Blog!
xo

Love the gifs, and imagine that, you convincing Davey to make an extra one for you. He must be sure his mother is as crazy as the rest of us, lol!
But they're great any way, and it's to our advantage as fans that he is so picky about the quality of his own work. He's better than many pros I've seen.
And thanks or the info about the documentary. I had seen it mentioned one other place, but I wouldn't know much about i if it weren't for your blog.
Another great blog!
