Johnny's Back in Japan!

Let the dancing begin.

Special thanks to whoever made this glorious gif
and to @dapperderp for posting it on Twitter
and making everyone's day. :)
Thanks also to Deb Walsh for helping me to remember
that this is from the closing credits of the BGJW Season 1 finale
which in no way sent my desperate need for Season 2
skyrocketing all the way up to 11 ...

And thus also begins another round of When In The World Are They And Why....

....I'm sorry, that gif is really quite distracting...

....Why Can't I....

....Something....

..............

.....yeah.....

Anyway.

Oh yes! When In The World Are They And Why Can't I Grasp. The. Concept. (Well, probably because it involves math, which immediately causes my eyes to glaze over and my mind to wander dreamily off in search of a land where the square root of everything is rainbows, all of which are composed entirely of Johnny gifs....).

Although I have again updated the handy blog clock there to the right. As if that helps.

So with any luck at all, they've made it to Japan without any unfortunate hand-sanitizer mishaps (they had just arrived in Tokyo as of this writing, at about 3:30 a.m. CDT, with fans at the airport subsequently reporting that Johnny warmly and graciously gave hugs, autographed books, posed for photos, and seemed ... tired) and landing conveniently just ahead of Tropical Storm Talas, Irene's less-well-known but terrifyingly bad-tempered Asian cousin who is expected to roar into Tokyo possibly Friday, possibly as a full-blown typhoon.

Yikes.

Here's hoping Talas calms down and decides that really, the anger-management stuff is paying off and there's no need to go all Tuco on anyone (yes, I'm completely caught up on Dexter and Shameless so now I'm hopelessly addicted to Breaking Bad), especially not Japan, where the devastating effects of the March earthquake and tsunami are still being felt.

Personally, I think the only force of nature Japan should ever again experience is Johnny--in all these wonderful ways as depicted by dear @ayukovon, who has outdone herself yet again with these incredibly adorable mini-Johnnys in "Pieces of July I and II" (please click twice for full-size view. And OMG! The pink pandas! ):

So whilst we await pics from Japan, we can roll around in all 36 of these mini-portraits, perfect as avatars on absolutely every site you use (and making it worth your while to join more just so you can post them all).

And we also have two new uploads of his performances from Taipei (thanks to Anastasia Pryanikova for spotting these!) to tide us over:

Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien....

...and Bad Romance
(plus a view of the opening video
as seen on the Jumbotron!
Note to self: Need more screencaps...).

Bonus pic! Photo and concept
courtesy of Peace Schuyler, who posted it
on Johnny's fan page yesterday. Love!

Off-topic (kind of but not really): There's a new web comedy series premiering September 13 called Husbands, starring Sean Hemeon and Brad Bell (@GoCheeksGo, who is hysterically funny). Brad is writing and producing the show alongside executive producer Jane Espenson, one of the brilliant minds behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Torchwood, Game of Thrones, etc. (and one of my personal writing heroes).

From the website:

TheInsider.com has a great writeup about the show and a brief clip (which moves really fast, so you have to listen closely to catch the dialogue!). Please watch, then check out the Husbands website and "like" their Facebook page! Can't wait to see more!

Q and A returns!! Go read it now!

Next time, put the incredibly starable-at GIF closer to the comments section so I can casually look at it again whilst thinking of things I want to say without wearing out my scrolly finger. ;O) As usual you are a wealth of pertinent info. I LOVE me some Cheeks, so much that my kid Kya knows his theme song by heart ("with visible obliques"), and three of the four of those tv shows are in my all time Top 20. (Captain Jack Harkness in the episode of the same name, kissing his namesake goodbye not only made me cry but is one of the hottest screen snogs of all time. SRSLY.)

Thank you, ayukovon, gif-maker, Binky, and Johnny and friends, for another mesmerizing eyeful. Good to rest the eyes on something sublime after all those flood images seen on the Internet.

If I can make someone's day with dancing Johnny, I am a happy girl :D

He really should dance more, so I have more gifs. I'm just sayin.
